Villa Panza in the Lombardy city of Varese houses parts of one of the most important collection of contemporary American artists in Europe. The central part of the stately house dates back to the end of the 17th century to which a U-formed extension was later added. In the 19th century, the French garden was replaced by an English park which contains striking plants.

The integration of the Runtal Arteplano into this ensemble is sensitive and unassuming, whilst at the same time providing highly modern, yet discreet, heating technology.
